Richmond is a great city and we want to keep it clean. Volunteer with us at The Great Big Cleanup on Earth Day to beautify our streets and keep trash from polluting the James River, our main source of drinking water. There are 20 cleanup sites to choose from! Not sure where to go? Meet us at 3055 Lawson Street (the parklet on Broad Rock & Lawson). We’ll give you an assigned area.
As a thank you for all your hard work, lunch is on us! We’re hosting a community cookout in Swansboro after the morning cleanup event.
This event is hosted by Southside ReLeaf, the Seeds of Change Organization, and the Swansboro West Civic Association.

Seeds of Change is hosting our first ever Superhero Community Cleanup Day this Saturday! Rep any version of your favorite superhero, any superhero, and come out and meet your community superheroes! On Community Cleanup Days, we meet at the garden and work our way around the surrounding sites collecting trash and debris that would otherwise pollute our waterways and neighborhood aesthetics. As always, all supplies are provided and ALL are welcome. Be a superhero for your Southside community this weekend!

Southside Clean City Representatives are hosting the ItAllFlowsToTheRiver Southside Neighborhood Cleanup on September 10th to kick off James River Week! Picking up litter is one of the easiest improvements anyone can make in their local environment. In addition to being unsightly, litter ultimately moves through a local watershed and ends up in our waterways. We'll be meeting at the Biggs Road Community Garden, 5518 Biggs Road, at 9AM.

To commemorate MLK Jr., a great man who served others, let’s give back by cleaning up our Southside neighborhoods on January 15th! I will be hosting this cleanup from 9am-11am. We'll be meeting at the Biggs Road Community Garden at 5518 Biggs Road. There will also be cleanups at Broad Rock Sports Complex, Oakwood & E Richmond, Hull & Warwick, and Blackwell Community Center.
Please wear closed toed shoes and appropriate clothing. Supplies will be provided.
Come out on Saturday 9/25, from 9AM-12PM and help us with our Fall community clean up and garden refresh. We will have bags and litter sticks. If you want to help in the garden and have gardening tools, please bring them. We will also have a clothing giveaway.
We are hosting a neighborhood clean up and garden work day on Saturday April 24 from 9AM-12PM. We are excited about this growing season and know we can accomplish great things with your support.
